# Your library

> The Songs page of InnerHook, a lyrics writing app: group songs by profile, search titles and lyrics, act on many, restore what you deleted.

The **Songs** page is your library: every song you've written, the songs you share and the songs shared with you. From here you open, rename, duplicate and delete songs, and bring back the ones you deleted.

## Where to find it

Click **Songs** in the left rail.

At the top are two quick ways into a new song, **Start writing** (an empty song at once, no questions) and **Autodraft** (a few questions, then a first draft by AI), and **Import** for lyrics you already have (see [Importing lyrics](https://innerhook.com/docs/import/)).

## Three ways to list your songs

Pick one under the top buttons; the page remembers your choice.

- **Recent**: every song, the last changed first, with its artist profile shown small beside it.
- **By profile**: songs grouped by [artist profile](https://innerhook.com/docs/artist-profiles/). Each group has **New song** and **Open profile**. Songs without a profile are under **No profile**.
- **Shared**: the songs you share and the songs shared with you, with who has them. See [Sharing a song](https://innerhook.com/docs/sharing/).

Songs other people shared with you also have their own section, **Shared with me**, in Recent and By profile.

A small people icon on a row means the song is shared (hover it to see with whom); a globe means it has a [public link](https://innerhook.com/docs/public-link/). Click either to open the song's sharing.

## Searching

Type in **Search titles and lyrics**. The list shows only the songs whose title or words match. In By profile, only the groups with matches stay.

## A song's menu

Each of your songs has a **⋮** at the end of its row:

- **Rename**: type the new title right in the list.
- **Duplicate**: a copy of the song.
- **Add to setlist…**: put it in a [setlist](https://innerhook.com/docs/setlists/).
- **Delete**: the song goes to Recently deleted at once. An **Undo** notice lets you take it back.

A song shared with you has **Open** and **Leave…** instead.

## Selecting many songs

1. Hover a row and tick the check box at its left.
2. Tick more, or hold Shift and click to select every song between the last one you clicked and this one.
3. A bar above the list says, for example, **3 selected · Delete · Clear**.
4. Press **Delete** to delete them all. One **Undo** brings them all back.

Press Esc or **Clear** to clear the selection. Only songs you can see in the list are selected, so a search never deletes something out of sight.

## Recently deleted

Deleted songs and artist profiles wait in **Recently deleted** at the bottom of the page. Click it to open the list.

- **Restore** brings a song or profile back where it was.
- **Delete forever** removes it for good. It asks first: **Delete forever?** → **Delete** or **Keep**.
- Tick several rows (or use Shift-click) to **Restore** or **Delete forever** many at once.

> **Limits**
>
> - Deleted songs and profiles are kept for **30 days**, then removed for good.
> - Only a song's owner can delete, restore or duplicate it.

> **Watch out**
>
> **Delete forever** cannot be undone. The song's comments, versions, takes and recordings go with it.

## Tips

> **Tip**
>
> Recent is the quickest way back to what you were working on. Home's **Continue writing** shows the same last few songs.

- A deleted song that was shared stops working for its co-writers too, and comes back for them when you restore it.
- Create an artist profile to keep songs for different projects apart: a tip on the Songs page offers it until you do.
